The first half was served in the tea trade itself, 23 years of which were spent as Chairman of Carrit Moran and Co, the largest tea broking house in India at the time. In the latter half, Mr. Momen's primary time and energy have been focused on starting and growing the White Cliff Group. Razi
A tireless contributor to the team, and would make a great addition to any team. He understands the processes of how and when teas are bought, blended and how the manufacturing system works. Earlier, he started his journey in tea plantations working for McLeod Russel in Darjeeling and Assam, he learnt production and managing workers who are the heart of the business in the tea farms, he then moved on to a Tea broking company called Carritt Moran where he enhanced the tasting and selling skills, subsequently, he moved to a private label company Harris Freeman (USA) which showed him the door for private label along with value addition, Later, Razi joined Typhoo UK and worked with the branded and private label business for over 12yrs and left the business to pursue his own ambition in Stratton Tea UK now. Additionally, Razi has worked within the supply chain in the organization to benefit from greater cost controls, reducing carbon emissions and more efficient movement of raw tea products from supplier to production facility. His discipline and hard work never failed to add a creative touch to every project - a Bush to Cup man.
Michael Rogers
Started his career in Typhoo Tea were his Dad and mom worked and retired from the same company, at Typhoo he worked as a trainee in the packaging department for one year and later moved to tea buying and blending based on his cooking and skills from mixing drinks as a bartender before Typhoo. At Tea buying and blending, Mike hit the ground running and took over buying and blending for the retail brands like Morrisons, Asda and One Cup. He also worked on sourcing teas for Decaf tea overall and forecasting teas whilst tasting teas from Mombasa auctions on a weekly basis - any good day he would be tasting 500cups of tea in order to determine quality with a balance of price to ensure consistency in the blends. Personally drinks Rwanda and KTDA with a touch of Assam second flush - a good team player.
