At Stratton Tea, our team is shaped by growers, tasters, blenders, innovators and lifelong students of the leaf. What binds us is a simple belief that value in tea is built on experience, curiosity and the willingness to keep learning from the land and the people behind it.
Below are the individuals who carry that belief forward every day.
Late Mr. Golam Momen
Founder, Mentor, Legacy
Founder, Mentor, Legacy
The legacy of Mr. Golam Momen continues to guide us. A true connoisseur, he devoted over five decades to the world of tea. His first 25 years were spent inside the heart of the trade — including 23 years as Chairman of Carritt Moran & Co., then India’s largest tea broking house.
The second half of his journey was driven by entrepreneurship and vision, as he built and nurtured the White Cliff Group. His calm pragmatism, sharp judgment, and deep understanding of the industry remain foundational to Stratton Tea. His influence endures through the people he mentored and the standards he set.
Saif Servaia
Co-founder
A certified Lead Auditor for integrated environmental and occupational safety systems, Saif brings structure and strategic rigour to the organisation. As Managing Director of White Cliff Tea Pvt. Ltd., he has helped shape one of India’s largest contract-packing operations.
He led the company through a major consolidation phase, a management takeover (2015), and the commissioning of its first “Mega” factory (2019). His work reflects the clarity and ambition that drive Stratton Tea’s long-term growth.
Razi Khan
Co-Founder (U.K)
Razi is the quintessential “bush to cup” professional — someone who has lived every side of the tea journey. He began on plantations with McLeod Russel in Darjeeling and Assam, mastering production and worker management. He then moved to Carritt Moran, refining his tasting and selling skills, and later to Harris Freeman (USA), which introduced him to private-label development and value addition.
His longest stint was at Typhoo UK, working across both branded and private-label categories for over 12 years. At Stratton Tea (UK), he continues to blend rigor with creativity, driving improvements across the supply chain and sustainability initiatives. His discipline, depth of knowledge, and hands-on approach make him one of the team’s most versatile contributors.
Faraaz Servaia
With over 15 years of experience as a tea buyer, taster, and blender, Faraaz brings a technical yet intuitive understanding of teas from global origins. His expertise spans commodity buying, blending, product development, operations, warehousing, and quality management.
From weekly auction analysis to turnkey buying projects across Kenya, Malawi, Uganda, Argentina, Assam, Darjeeling, and South India, he has built blends for retail, export, wholesale and private label markets across the UK, Europe, and Asia. A grounded, results-driven professional, Faraaz combines analytical skill with a keen palate and a restless appetite for learning.
Michael Rogers
Mike’s relationship with tea is almost (literally?) inherited: both his parents built careers at Typhoo Tea. He began on the packaging floor before moving into buying and blending, where he found his natural skill.
He has handled blends for Morrisons, Asda and One Cup, worked extensively on decaf sourcing, and tasted hundreds of cups weekly from the Mombasa auctions. His personal favourite cup: Rwanda or KTDA teas with a touch of Assam second flush. A steady, collaborative presence, Mike balances technical expertise with an instinctive feel for flavour.
Hashim Khan
From the respected Gulabi Tea family, Hashim carries nearly 50 years of industry experience. His career has taken him through Wagh Bakri, Assam Co. Ltd., and Andrew Yule & Co. Ltd., where he strengthened his core skills in tasting, blending, and developing customised quality standards for global markets.
His exposure to diverse origins and his relationships with exporters and packeteers make him a key strategic voice. A natural bridge-builder, Hashim is passionate about growing customer portfolios and forging partnerships that create long-term value.
Reshmi Roy
Reshmi’s career began in 2000 at Carritt Moran & Co., where she worked as a taster, broker, and auctioneer. She specialised in Darjeeling teas and was one of only six women tea auctioneers across India at the time.
Her journey then broadened internationally, with roles in advertising (Wunderman), retail buying (Auchan), and fresh F&B sales (Second Nature) across Iraq, Dubai, and Bangkok. Tea, however, remained her constant passion. Returning to the industry with Stratton Tea / Serenity Tea LLP, she now leads Global Sales, bringing her career full circle with renewed purpose and global perspective.
Md. Saddam Ansari
A multi-skilled professional with a strong base in IT and operations, Saddam holds a BCA degree and began his tea journey in 2013 with the White Cliff Group. His expertise spans product oversight, MIS, KRAs, accounts, and operations.
Today, with Stratton Tea and its sister concerns, he manages export/import documentation, statutory compliance, liaising with DGFT and ICEGATE, supply-chain processes, domestic sales and data-driven reporting. Combining technical capability with a deepening knowledge of tea testing and blending, he brings sharp operational clarity to the team.
Selina Das
With a marketing background and a master’s degree in supply-chain management, Selina brings an analytical yet creative lens to the organisation. She is committed to building efficient, future-ready supply-chain systems while contributing to brand development and expansion.
Her love of painting and reading fuels her creative rhythm, and she approaches both work and art with equal curiosity. At Stratton Tea, she is focused on shaping processes that strengthen the brand’s growth and resilience.
Together, We Are Stratton Tea
We are a tea-trading and tea-crafting business rooted in heritage, driven by expertise, and united by a shared love for the leaf. Our team brings global flavours, decades of knowledge, and a commitment to quality that shapes every cup.
